Walnut wood is a relatively expensive premium hardwood because it is rarer than some other hardwoods due to the slow growth and rather small size of the trees.
In many cultures the tree represents intelligence, wisdom and knowledge, most likely owing its reputation to the shape of the nuts.
American Walnut has a reddish brown, warm dark colour and smooth grain. The lines are straight and floaty as if drawn by water. The wood is hard, heavy and resilient yet with good bending properties and easy to work on. It can be polished to an exceptional finish.
All furniture made with this wood is absolutely beautiful.
